Owner/Chief Consultant atop the Montana Capitol building

Jeni Garcin – Owner/Consultant

I’m a strategic communications professional with a proven track record of delivering results across diverse sectors. My expertise spans comprehensive communication planning, emergency public information, and public outreach for government, non-profits, and businesses. I understand the unique challenges faced by organizations, from navigating complex technical information for engineering firms to managing high-stakes emergency communications.

My journey in communications began at the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, where I served as a Public Information Officer for over six years. This role provided my first experience with all-hazards emergency response, notably deploying to the Glendive Oil Spill in 2015. I then contributed to the Montana Invasive Mussels response, which fortuitously connected me with the opportunities that launched my career in wildland fire public information.

In 2018, I transitioned to Lewis and Clark County as their Communications and Community Outreach Coordinator. However, the onset of the 2020 pandemic prompted a pivotal decision: to pursue my long-held ambition of starting my own business. Thankfully, I had also been diligently building my wildland fire qualifications, and for the past four years, I’ve been able to dedicate myself to this passion almost full-time during the summer months.

Today, I’m fortunate to blend my consulting work with my wildland fire experience, allowing me to practice the most fulfilling aspects of my career.

My experience includes working with state and local governments, political figures, environmental non-profits, and small businesses. I’ve managed public outreach for hundreds of projects, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex information.

Beyond my core services, I specialize in SEO-driven blog writing for the outdoor industry and continue to expand my graphic design capabilities.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors. I’m passionate about trail running, mountain biking, horseback riding, skiing, and all things nature. I also enjoy hunting and fishing, appreciating the connection to the land and the source of my food.
